“Go see it! You will be amazed and enthralled!”

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

“Set pieces work in seamless functionality with the sea of video (the instant materialization of an entire mall is quite something).”

The much-anticipated Broadway musical, ‘Mean Girls’, based on the hit film, premiered at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway. FRAY Studio worked closely with Director, Casey Nicholaw and Set Designer, Scott Pask, to create the sophisticated, fast-paced and at times surreal world of North Shore High's famous students.

The video content gave the audience insight into the characters’ unique inner worlds. The video content for Janice, the 'art freak' of the show, was drawn with markers, and had a rough and unpolished feel. Whereas the video revealed that 'Queen Plastic' Regina’s inner world was originally pink and polished, transforming into a James Bond-inspired operatic world when Regina began to seek her revenge.

In all the musical numbers the video worked in sync with the choreography, lighting design and live band taking the production beyond the constraints of the stage and reflecting the vibrant attitude and wry humour of Tina Fay’s writing.
