The 1985 pop-culture phenomenon, ‘Back to the Future’, was brought to the stage by the film’s original writers, Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, with music and lyrics by the film’s original composer and lyricist, Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard.

Video played a central role in this show. The video design exploded the ordinary world of Hill Valley into something magical and crazy whenever Doc had a moment of inspiration, or when the audience travelled along with the iconic Delorian, all the way to 88mph.

The video content was delivered through a large 3.9mm LED wall upstage, and also through projection onto a gauze downstage, wrapping the on-stage action in video.

The show was driven by Disguise GX2 system, and made extensive use of Notch, both as real-time content and also as a work platform. Discover more about our work with Notch.
